New Year’s Resolution

I got an email from a friend yesterday with "Don't die on Karen" as his #1 resolution for 2010.

The funny thing is I found that weirdly comforting.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy prosperous and loving 2010.

I want to thank everyone who has reached out to me the last week or so.

I'm feeling the love.

Bouncing back.

Bring on the next thing.

Karen, after the year you have had? That is the nicest thing someone can say to you. I'm sending wishes that all you hold dear will be safe and happy.

Thanks so much Jane. I know. Every time I get a phone call I brace myself for bad news now.

Working on getting over that and moving on.
I fully believe that things will get better....

I'm sitting here laughing cause I don't see how they could get worse....but I probably shouldn't say that ....don't want to tempt any powers that be who just happen to have a dark sense of humor.

Thank you so much for all the happiness beamed at me from your corner of the world.
Hugs!

I wish for you an amazing year, Karen. Oh, and more of those fascinating things you see while driving.

My New Years resolutions (It's Jan first here and SUNNY)

1. Drink more red wine - cos it makes the world a funnier place.
2. Live long and prosper. (Thanks Spock.)
3. To never allow anyone to talk about World of Warcraft in my presence again. Not EVER. Certainly not for four hours while I am sober. Especially on New Years eve.
4. To try not to plan the torturous deaths of people while they are rabbiting on and on about World of Warhammer. (that should be easy -see #3.)

Thanks universe for having such an awesome sense of humor...
love

Thank you Linda and the same to you and yours.

I actually saw something really odd on Christmas Eve but it was just one of those things that you giggle at and move on....

It was the Chick Fil-A Cow mascot dressed in a Santa Suit standing on the side of the road in front of the restaurant waving at cars.

I giggled at it and waved.

Then for some reason I wondered if Santa could fit a steak in my stocking.....

Wishing you a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.

You snuck in there Cat while I was answering Linda...

I'm laughing at your list. I used to work with a guy who INSISTED on telling me all the plots to the Freddy Kruger movies. So I totally understand the NOT LISTENING AGAIN EVER PART....but the thing that I'm having a little trouble with was...why were you SOBER on New Year's Eve?

hugs and smooches honey. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Well, if it makes you happy, I'll make my #1 resolution not to die on you this year too!

Hope you have an AWESOME 2010 with lots of publishing success!

Geez. And Tim snuck in while I was answering Cat. What is this....take a number to comment day? ...laughing...

Tim can't even say what I need to my friend.

Thanks may start to cover it.

Ok, now this is freaky. Kris just popped up while I was answering Tim.

But I'm really feeling the love.

Yes Kris. I think that EVERYBODY should make that their new year's resolution.

"no dying in 2010"

Wait wasn't there a novel and movie of the week like that? Death takes a holiday?

Darn. I'm redundant. *sigh*

hugs to you Kris.
Hope you have a wonderous 2010.

I added "don't die on Karen" to my list too. Love and hugs, sweetie.

So glad Judy. Cause if you weren't here who would listen to my nonsensical ramblings and tell me dirty jokes at 3:00am?

Love you so much darlin.
Thanks for coming into my life.

Just reread the last comment to Judy and realize that for those new to the blog I should add.....

In a totally heterosexual platonic way...

man...

you guys really know how to cheer a chick up.

We forgot to get me any wine! So I had to sit here planning gruesome deaths SOBER. There's wine in the fridge but I prefer to call it headache in a bottle, and quite frankly don't need the help. No Dolcetto & Syrah for me = sober Cat amidst WoW yabber.
Its a miracle anyone survived. :-)

Color me gobsmacked Cat. You forgot to get yourself wine for a major celebration...

....the room is spinning....everything I know to be true is false....black is white......WHAT PLANET IS THIS.....??????

That is a very thoughtful resolution and I'm making sure I'll also add it to my list. See?

"Don't die on Karen (and everyone else who I love will also be stuck with me this way)!"

Glad to read you're better, huge hugs honey (and for New Year poem and wishes drop by my place)!
Happy New Year!
