Kismet.....

You shine out to me
darkness meeting light

Blending

Flowing to my touch
like liquid silver

You know me...an imbicile in the poetry world...

I like this. A merging of two spirits. Well done, Karen.

See, there is a grey area - right where dark meets light.

"Flowing to my touch like liquid silver" is an amazing visual.

Oh my goodness! Listen to the liquid consonants - and used to such sensuous effect. And hear what they say,

Luscious! :D

KjM said just what I would have said if I were as smart as he is. Lovely, Karen. Wow.

Thanks so much Judy. I love this piece.

Kevin, as always you take my breath away with your comment. Luscious describes the poem and the subject to a tee.

Laurita I had an image of the yin/yang symbol in the posting but it made it look too crowded. The place where the yin meets the yang is definitely gray space...a space where anything can happen.

Thank you all for taking the time to read and comment on my poem. I feel very blessed to have such wonderful folks in my life.

*happy sigh*

Agh, blooger ate my comment.

I love this - so mysterious, so sensual.

Yin/Yang is one of my fav symbols. This poem is perfect for expressing it in words.

Now spill it, who is this poem really about?

I sent you an email titled "spilling it" Anne, the rest of you will just have to use your magic 8 balls.....

mysterious and sensual. I added those words to Kevin's luscious and boy howdy, I have to tell you, I am ONE HAPPY CAMPER.

You guys rock!
*hugs Anne*

Linda,
With what I know about your sensual writing style, I am not a bit surprised that you liked this piece, but am of course so very pleased that you came in and said so. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment my lovely friend.

Beautiful. I like how to solidified the sensual, ephemeral imagery of the poem itself with a concrete noun for the title.

Well isn't that an exquisite critique KM...Thank you. This piece was untitled for days laying on my desk. Then the morning I posted it I knew what the title had to be.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to read and comment. Much appreciated.

I thought of the yin-yang symbol too. With increasingly indistinct edges. Lovely.

Thanks baby. I didn't see you sneak in.
