I've always had a thing about giant construction vehicles. When I see one parked unattended along the side of the road, I have an urge to stop and see if someone was careless enough to leave the keys in the ignition just for me.
What would follow would be a Curious George kind of scenario. I'd take the vehicle out and do something altruistic with it. Something so fine and good and noble that when the police and rightful owner of the dump truck or giant earth mover caught up with me they wouldn't arrest me because the mayor would be busy pinning a medal to my chest.

Or, I could just take it home and hide it in my garage…..

You could always say it followed you home...
Yeah, like a stray cat... That's a GREAT idea Laurita. I'm going to start carrying a dish of diesel fuel with me now wherever I go.
That's funny! My wife has had similar feelings, & she was in 7th heaven this fall when a local fellow taught her how to operate a backhoe!
I have a friend who promises me that if he ever gets around to digging the pond on his property that I can have a turn on the earth mover.
That will be a red letter day in karenland letmetellyou.
I'm envious of your wife John. Can you maybe put in a good word for me with this local fellow?
*gives you the big hazel eyes*
I can totally see you on a Curious George adventure, Sparkly! :-)
Oh my, that would be sweet! I just learned how to drive a car, but now isn't this just a huge sparkly "carrot" dangling in front of me? Oh you have such inspiring posts honey ;)
PS: that's a great hiding place, I bet no one could tell there was a giant construction vehicle in there :P
I wouldn't be Curious George. I'd be Demolition Man since I have no clue how to even start such a vehicle, let alone drive. But it is fun to think about it!
I think about it all the time...maybe a little too much. Um...there's a group meeting on wednesdays at 7....
oh man Estrella you driving an earth mover would be a sight to see. [hysterical giggling]
When I saw that photo of the dumptruck wedged in sideways I laughed and laughed. Did you go over to the website? They also have a jet stuffed into a garage. A jet would be a fun thing to "borrow" as well. But I think I'd just taxi it around a bit. Not sure I should fly. I emit some sort of homing signal when it comes to flying creatures. When I walk in the woods bats bounce off of me. I'd hate to be the cause of a bunch of birds being sucked into my jet engines. *cringe*
Wanna come with me Linda?
Oh the times we could have....
:0)
And I can picture you...tooting the horn, smiling and waving at passersby. Though, methinks parallel parking that bad-boy in the garage would be a bitch...
hee, Alan, I'm sure I'd try to just "toot" the horn, but something like that would have a horn that would be LOUD.
*looks gleeful*
But I'd still do the parade wave thing. You know me so well....
LOL! And I thought parallel parking my minivan was a challenge!
Actually there's a construction vehicle in the Brad Paisley "Water" video where the machine is spinning around and around with a person swinging on a line above the water. Kind of like a sophisticated rope swing. THAT is what I want!
I always wanted one of those cars where the wheels turn sideways so you just sliiiiiide into the parking space Kris.
[but they may only be available in cartoons]
*goes off to find the "Water" video*
