Steal it Saturday

Since Jane is on vacation and will most probably not see my post today, I thought I'd delight everybody with a frog. A frog would not delight Jane, Jane thinks frogs are icky, so this is why I'm posting it while she is away. I don't know what event in Jane's life caused her not to like frogs, but I try to be respectful of other people's odd little quirks, lord knows I have enough of my own....don't EVEN get me started on slugs.
So Jane, run away, run away....and everybody else? Enjoy a frog....the only empirical evidence that the universe has a sense of humor.

Slugs are truly revolting (frogs not so much), the only purpose to a slug seems to be to increase the sales of rubber gloves.
I ain't touching anything leafy and green without heavy duty slime proof gloves - and tongs.

And even then, with all precautions taken - I've been known to leap and squeal and refuse touch the silverbeet EVER again! (that could've been in the supermarket produce section, that part is a little hazy)

Cat,
The only thing worse than finding a bug in your salad is finding half of a bug in your salad.

I like frogs, if only because I don't see many in Brooklyn. Ribbet!

Awww! I like frogs too. Where we camp every year in Shasta, during August, in the swimming hole, zillions of tadpoles become frogs. They're everywhere - it's scary because it's hard not to step on the tiny little guys. It's also amazing.

I counted. There really are zillions.

Judy,
not to borrow Chris's superpower, but if they're in the grass....they'd be toads....

I LOVE TOADS!!!!!! just as much as I love frogs.

and Frank? now I have frogs in my head in zoot suits asking me if I want to share a pie with them....maybe it's just me...or maybe brooklyn is stuck in some kind of weird frog time warp.

Frogs in zoot suits with pie? Sounds like an animated special on abcfamily channel.

or a warner brothers cartoon....

but you ever notice a cartoon frog just doesn't look right in a tuxedo unless he also has the walking stick?

You know what would have been AWESOME? A 3-D picture of a frog jumping right off the screen and into Jane's morning cup of coffee. I know - that's kind of mean and twisted. And I don't even know Jane. But I still think it's funny. ps You can save photos of snakes, spiders, bats and other creepy crawlies for when I am on vacation. Thanks!

Aw Sarah,
I was going to post a snake photo next week...sigh...now I'll have to wait until you're on vacation.....which is when exactly?...I need to rent the moving van and give Vinnie (he's my fence) a heads up....

OOH, a 3-D picture of a frog jumping off the screen WEARING A TOP HAT. Why? Because top hats make everything more awesome. Awesomeer? Whatever. Anyway, TOP HAT. Yeah.

Hey look, I clicked google account and something happened. It even came up with my name. Which is creepy, because I didn't tell it my name....

Rachel S said...

Hmmm, and when I click my name it says page cannot be found. Apparently I don't exist. Even creepier...

LOL, ok Rachel, I think the funniest thing about your three messages is the fact that I KNOW that you DON'T drink.

AACKKK! I check in on some friends from here in Yosemite, and what do I find?????

Plus -- who's the frog-nazi that wants to send a flying 3-D frog into my coffee cup? If she does, I am going to have to send the flying monkeys to her house while she is sleeping...

(That is one of my superpowers)

Jane
(this really made me smile, Karen, thanks!)

Glad you enjoyed it Jane.
You REALLY don't want to poke Sarah with a stick....flying monkeys would not phase her....
but I LOVE that the ability to launch them is one of your many many superpowers.
