National read my blog naked day, or just look at the pretty picture

A friend sent me an email yesterday looking for fall creative projects.

In the body of the email she said "summer is ending."

I was shocked!

Summer can't be over already.

I haven't declared a national holiday yet.

I've had the blog now for seventy five days and in all of that time, I haven't declared a national holiday.

I don't know what I was thinking.

There are just so many possibilities holiday wise in the blogging community.

You can have national innuendo day, national I love a celebrity day, national look at the thing I've accomplished day, national make a blogging friend day, national I'm having a really good hair day, national read something different day, national I swallowed a bug day (I don't have high hopes for that one) national coin a catchphrase day (we once tried to get "Trundle my daisyheads" to catch on but there were no takers) national I'm from Greenland day and finally national delurking day.

So, if any of these holidays appeal to you, let me know.

If you have a national day that you've always wanted to see declared, here's your chance.

If you want to delurk and say hi, where you're from and "trundle my daisy heads" while declaring a national holiday AND reading my blog naked…….

You get bonus points.

Otherwise?

Just look at the pretty fat little monarch caterpillar.

Happy "I'm having a fabulous hair day and I just wrote this post naked in Ohio while thinking about Tom Hanks and reading War and Peace and I SO just trundled my daisy heads if you know what I mean day" everybody!

Squirl's Orchid with a Face!

This is the first and probably last time that you will see me post someone else's photo for Steal it Saturday. But I just love this photo.I did not take this photo. It belongs to Squirl. She took the photo. She owns it, so you can't steal it. She gave me permission to post it if I linked back to her. So minions? Don't steal it for anything other than your own looking at pleasure (my wasn't that grammatical?)

I love this photo. It causes me GLEE. If you looked in the dictionary under glee right now you'd see ME. It amazes me when something in nature looks like a happy puppy dog with big floppy ears wearing a hat, especially when it's a flower and not a happy puppy dog with big floppy ears wearing a hat.

This photo makes me grin GIGANTICALLY and I hope that it also brightens your day.

So my question to you on this lovely Saturday morning is.... would you like to caption it?

Steal it Saturday

Since Jane is on vacation and will most probably not see my post today, I thought I'd delight everybody with a frog. A frog would not delight Jane, Jane thinks frogs are icky, so this is why I'm posting it while she is away. I don't know what event in Jane's life caused her not to like frogs, but I try to be respectful of other people's odd little quirks, lord knows I have enough of my own....don't EVEN get me started on slugs.
So Jane, run away, run away....and everybody else? Enjoy a frog....the only empirical evidence that the universe has a sense of humor.

Steal it Saturday

Today kicks off Steal it Saturday. I have posted a photo for you to steal for your very own. My suggestion??? Set it as your laptop/pc background for a day or two to bring you joy. And happiness…. and contentment…or just to make you grin.

My current laptop background is busy making me grin, but it is more of a personal nature….nuff said.

If you want to use one of these photos for something OTHER than your own personal use….contact me and we'll talk. I own every photo I will be posting. If I do post someone else's photo, I will credit them and link back to the original photographer.

The only problem with Googleblogger that I have encountered at this point is that what you see here is the LARGEST I can post a photo inside a blog posting. But, small and fuzzy as it seems on the web page, if you left click on it and open it, when you set it as your background….at least on the attempts here in Karen land, you get a clear sharp image to enjoy. (let me know if that's true for everybody...)

So, here is a lovely grumpy blue swallow for you to giggle at.

Oh and anybody want to caption it????

P.S. today would be a good day to de lurk. If you stop in, say HI. I get a lot more traffic than I get commenters…NOT complaining mind you, keep coming in…I'd just like to say howdy.

Enjoy.
