Fraught with froth….or….Meringue you were a pant-o-mime

I had a nightmare that I was a pastry chef. It was horrible. A mime held a clown's water filled daisy boutonniere to my temple and demanded that I release all the cream pies from the clear display boxes.

Don't worry about it. That's a common dream for people to have and it doesn't mean anything.

Oh good Kris,
Thank you for being the voice of reason.
I was a bit worried, so I left out the part where he wanted to try on all of my shoes.

Boy, you have some dreams... ;)

I wish this had been a dream Estrella, I would have laughed and laughed.
I actually thought of the mime line and used it as part of my comment on a #fridayflash story called "Ducks from Space" [!]
Love that title.

How can you pass up a story called Ducks from Space?

Thanks for stopping in sweetie.

OMG! I think I was just hit with a pie with that story - funny stuff, my friend!

Ducks from Space is good, but how about Clowns from Space - now that is fraught with good stuff, we all know that clowns are the scariest creatures that ever lived

Any dream with "clown" or "mime" is a nightmare. But pie, now that's good. Mmm, pie.

LOVE that title! So...did you give him the pies? And, since they were cream pies, was your pillow missing in the morning?

Thanks for the giggle!

What do you mean a mime "demanded"? How do you know it was your pies that she/he/it wanted?

Swiftly emptying minds want to know... :)

Hey, it's Monday. It's all I got.

The mime "demanded" through a badly executed series of charade moves prior to the opening scene Kevin.

[work with me here doll...I can't spell out everything in 39 words...]

*hugs Kevin*

And if you'd seen the bad charades...neither could this mime.

Thank you for loving the title Laura. It makes me laugh. I like it just as much if not more than the story itself.

A little secret:
I had to look up how to spell meringue. It's certainly not one of those words that the experimental use of phonetic spelling they taught us in first grade helped me with in my adulthood.

All pie is good Laurita. Especially the last piece that no one else gets.
That's gooooood pie.

Anne,
As you well know, I am afeared of clowns.
And zombies ick me out.

But while reading your comment I think I had some sort of emotional breakthrough.

Because about ten seconds later I started furiously writing a story called:

Zombie Clowns from Space

Thanks guys for taking the time to stop in and read my silliness and add your own.

Bizarro week has officially begun. It should be a hoot and a half.

*happy sigh*

So you've written a horror piece. Clowns AND mimes? *shudders*

At least the cherry pies were spared.

Karen from Mentor said...

And the blueberry ones. All of the sensible pies were minding their own business in the back. In the booth. In the corner in the dark.

oh man. Quoting Flip Wilson's Geraldine.
*shakes head sadly*
Did I mention that I have food poisoning?

Today has been a hellava day at sea, sir.

Yup. Now quoting Overboard.
*shakes head even more sadly*

I'm going to go back to bed and hang on tightly to my mattress for a while.

Held up at daisy point by a clown! And ordered to hand over the cream pies. Are you sure this was a dream? I heard on the news that a crazy clown was running around town throwing pies at people and yelling your name.

Helen

Throwing pies and yelling "Karen, Karen" Like "Attica, Attica" ?... Cuz that would be just so frickin cool.

And even *shudder* clowns and mimes deserve better living conditions in prison.

*thinks about hundreds of mimes and clowns locked up in prison, feels all warm and fuzzy inside*
