Hindsight.....

I kissed
you
goodbye

I just
didn't
know

That's
what
it was

At the
time

So much said in just 15 words - and how many times is this the case...
Love this, Karen!
(plus I like that I had a sneak preview of it while blogger wasn't cooperating)

I figured out what was wrong finally. I was a bit frustrated earlier while trying to post.

But vacuuming helped dissipate the frustration.
[plus I punched the mailman]

Lots to reflect upon in so few words, you really made each count. Oh, and it is such a true sentiment too

Poignant poem.

Thanks Fred,
I write a lot of flash fiction, so I'm used to stripping things down to the bare bones.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop in.

@poemblaze -- Hey Matt, you snuck in there while I was talking to Fred. Thanks for the comment. I don't know if you've ever commented here at MY on a piece of mine. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

The nervousness and anxiety of the first date, perhaps. Of course, you might not on a first date, but you would definitely not know it was hello or goodbye, but nothing ventured nothing gained, I say. Made me think and it was such a very tight write! Thanks for linking.

Happens to me all the time. That's why you make goodbyes count, or try not to think about them.

mm. very good. plus I was listening to a particularly melancholy instrumental song while reading it, which colored it sad and nostalgic... lovely.

I'm so happy to see all these new posts! I missed your words.
