Nature’s parade

Brilliant confetti
discards
of arms
reaching to the
spun candy
clouds

Breathtakingly vibrant
when
carelessly littered
on
glistening wet shelves

Forsaking
life
to beautifully nourish
the
ever hungry
earth

nature's parade was published by the lovely Annmarie Lockhart at voxpoetica on 9/29/09 and is now in the poemblog

Thanks Linda.
That's so nice to hear. It was my first rejection.
I reworked it and made it stronger, faster and better....like Lee Majors..

Indeed beautiful, and an amazing photo (did you take it? if so you're very good), I love how well they work together!

Thanks Estrella!
Yes, I took it at one of my favorite spots in the park.
It's sacred ground for me.
I always fill my eyes with this view just before turning and [grinning like a fool]walking the last mile back to the parking lot.

What does that sacred ground look like in the summer? It's absolutely beautiful in your photo. Pretty as any church.
