Globetrotting dancing queen

Makes you kind of dizzy doesn't it? To have both Georgia Brown [The Globetrotters theme song] and Abba's Dancing Queen in your head at the same time. I wanted to give this posting a snazzy title because I'm not actually here today. I'm out and about visiting in Romania. In Transylvania as a matter of fact, but I will NOT be visiting any vampires, sparkly or not because I *shudder* really despise vampires. It's a childhood trauma sort of thing……don't even ask.

What I am doing while not visiting vampires is guest posting at Life's a Stage by request of the lovely Estrella Azul as a stop on the Savvy Verse and Wit National Poetry Month blog tour.

So, that explains the Globetrotting part of the title.

The dancing queen relates to the photo. I went dancing a week or so ago, and this is what I was wearing.

[gotta give the crowd something for the effort of stopping in]

I hope you all go over to visit my guest post about poetry. It's short, and there's another photo of me at Estrella's place. Just a head's up ….that photo may be a bit how shall I put it….. off color?

Enjoy. Click here to see my guest posting at Life's a Stage.

I shall head over for a visit...and very nice photo, Ms. Schindler! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Alan,
I had to fix the posting after it was up because I had typed "near Transylvania" and Estrella told me that I would actually be IN Translyvania. Since she lives in the city I thought we'd have to get in a coach and travel up long narrow winding roads to a scary castle on the hill to be in Transylvania. Funny what Hollywood does to your sense of geography. Or at least mine.

Went over and enjoyed my visit very much!

So you went dancing, and you took photos?

There's only one last thing to say to you: Karen, you are a poet. A very good one.

What about werewolves?

Sam said...

Right, will be off for a shufty (that's "a look" where I come from) in just a moment...

Cool pic BTW.

Karen from Mentor said...

No problem with werewolves Marisa as long as they don't play with their food.

I took a photo BEFORE I went dancing. There's not much dancing going on in my bathroom usually. Oh who am I trying to kid, yes there is....but I'm not usually dressed at the time.
[and sometimes I sing]

Thank you for visiting the guest posting. And thank you-- *hugs you gigantically* -- for saying I'm a good poet. *happy sigh*

I love Marisa.

Sam,
You just keep teaching us new words. I'm going to have to make an english [the kind we speak in America] to ENGLISH [the kind you Brits speak] dictionary just so I can keep up.

Thanks for the "cool pic" comment. I don't usually like to see the camera in a photo, but I think it works in this one. And besides, I wanted to show my whole outfit....laughing...

I went...I read...I commented. :D

If you run into a vampire, just send him my way...I have a job for him and Jezebel.

You write fabulous poetry, my dear.

Thank you Laura. *hugs Laura*

I always keep your business card on me for just such occasions. Actually I have two versions, but I'll give any vampires and or undead I see the one that says:

Laura Eno
Dark Minion of Vader
Wielder of the Flaming Sword of Death
-no neck too tough to handle-
666 Everlasting Lane
-valet parking-turn left when you see the portal to hell-

That's the most current one right?

I'll have to admit, when you referred to an off-color picture, that's not exactly what I was expecting! Cool picture!

Congrats on the guest posting!

Karen from Mentor said...

Thank you again for accepting to be guest posting on my place for the blog tour, I LOVE your post!

Hope you liked your present ;)

Well, how could I NOT love a purple sparkly minnie mouse tee shirt that lets you push a button and the recording of "Bowling Night" from Eclectic Flash's inaugural issue plays? How could I not?

Oh and I remember what you said about hand washing it. But what am I going to do about all the blood that spattered from when we fought our way out of the castle?
[I got some great photos of you spinning that werewolf over your head by the way]

I'll be over to wrap up your comment thread later on in the day. I'm enjoying all the commenters at your place too.

Thanks so much for inviting me over honey!! I had a blast.

love and hugs,
Karen :0)

Oh, good *dries forehead with a tissue* I was worried those photos would come out blurry, but once again you've proven what a great photographer you are :)

Glad you liked the tee shirt, try to use just a pinch of that fairy dust we "borrowed" before getting chased out of the castle.

Drop by at any time, no hurry :)

Love and hugs right back at ya!

PS: LOVE your title!!!

Woo hoo. Fairy dust worked like a charm. So glad that you know about all of these green products and their everyday uses.

[grins at you]

I visited and commented. Romania sure is lovely this time of day.

You look lovely in that shade of pink.

Karen from Mentor said...

Thank you Laurita for going over and for commenting both places. [Laurita ROCKS!]
It is so pretty there. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the area. Estrella is going to start video blogging and touring us through some of her favorite places. I can't wait. The architecture in her area is stunning.

hugs!!

Nice guest post. Also followed through the link to the poem. Very good. Odd how pain can be captured so beautifully. But the best poetry captures raw emotion, it seems to me, and you certainly did that.

Terrific picture.

逸凡逸凡,
Thanks for stopping in. I poked around at your place for a bit and was entranced with the link to the little twins who were adopted after the family had suffered such tragedy.
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.

And for the beautiful words about my poem.
